? Types of Tea
There are six main types of tea, all derived from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant:
- Green Tea: Light and grassy, known for its high antioxidant content.
- Black Tea: Bold and robust, fully oxidized, often served with milk and sugar.
- White Tea: Delicate and subtly sweet, made from young tea leaves and buds.
- Oolong Tea: Partially oxidized, with a flavor between green and black tea.
- Pu-erh Tea: Fermented and aged, offering a rich, earthy flavor.
- Herbal Tea: Technically not “tea” as it doesn’t contain Camellia sinensis. Made from herbs, flowers, and fruits (like chamomile or peppermint).
